That these reactions may so easily be observed in children is in a way a proof of the fact that children in our society, feel too unsafe. Children who are reared in an unthreatening, loving family do not ordinarily react as we have described above. In such children the danger reactions are apt to come mostly to objects or situations that adults too would consider dangerous.
