Context of Synchronize

The heartbeats, breathing speeds and even degree of sweating of people watching a classical music concert together can become synchronized. Wolfgang Tschacher at the University of Bern in Switzerland and his colleagues made the discovery by monitoring 132 people as they watched concerts that included pieces such as Ludwig van Beethoven’s Op.104 in C minor, while wearing body sensors during covid-19 social distancing. The synchronization was more likely in people who considered themselves to be agreeable or open. The synchronization is also likely to happen with other music genres and the effect maybe stronger outside the trial setting, says Tschacher.
